Andrew Jobes has worked across several brands within the Food Division at Alshaya including Dean & Deluca, Texas Roadhouse and Garrett Popcorn Shops. As part of the original team to open Dean & Deluca in Kuwait and Dubai, Andrew used his previous experience as an area sales manager at Selfridges, the popular British department store, to support the successful launch of the gourmet food brand from beginning to end.
In his position as Operations Manager, Andrew is able to draw from his past experience in the industry to enhance his career development and commercial skills at Alshaya. Additionally, Andrew’s role sees him driving the performance of Garrett Popcorn Shops as it expands across multiple territories, where he works diligently with the US team to align the brand in upcoming markets.
“What I enjoy most about working at Alshaya is that I’m continuing to learn on a daily basis,” Andrew said. “My role is always varied, I face new opportunities and challenges constantly, and I hope to keep putting that experience to good use within the company.”
With the company growing at a tremendous speed, Andrew recognises that hard work, adaptability and focus are the keys to success within Alshaya.
“My goal is to become a Business Manager with Alshaya,” he commented. “I want to apply what I’ve learned thus far to really shape a qualified team that can deliver a fantastic experience to our customers.”
